Canta-Latt Milk

Canta-Latt Milk, Singapore
From what must be the first organic, Italian-style dairy farm in Singapore. One-litre Canta-Latt milk bottles are currently available at certain Huber’s Butchery and Four Seasons Organic Market outlets, and other select organic shops around the island.

The milk had a barnyard (in an udder and straw way*) smell and taste at first which mellowed with time. Not full cream Jersey stuff but liked it for its flavour. Made me wonder what additives are in supermarket milk to make it so bland.

They allow visits to their farm at No. 5 Lim Chu Kang Lane 8A in the “Kranji Countryside”.

*not that i’ve had any intimate experience with barnyards unlike my large animal vet friends whose stories inevitably include one about ungloved arms up a bovine arse.
